Fall 2011 Trends

Fall is my favorite season of all and in Houston we get to wear our fall clothes well into the holidays. My favorite fall 2011 trends are below:

  • Fur accents whether it be a fur collar on a beautiful ladylike coat, or a fur vest! Fur can be ladylike or boho chic, the choice is yours!
  • Leather is everywhere this fall, whether its in a top, skirt, jacket, or pant. I’ve even seen jeans that look like they are leather to get the look!
  • Statement bracelets. Stack on a multitude of bracelets to get this hot look for fall! I’ve told my clients to pile them on this fall to update their look! Mix diamonds, gold, and costume jewelry together for a fresh look! I like to mix my Dogeared leather bracelet with Ippolita for a unique twist on this trend! Have fun with it!
  • Ladylike Chic is another trend for this fall. This trend is for those ladies who lunch! It can be done by starting with a classic sheath dress and matching cardigan, and don’t forget to wear a great pump and matching bag! Throw on some pearls and your good to go!
  • Animal Print is here again. I actually consider animal print a classic that never goes out of style. Rachel Zoe has some amazing animal print tops for fall as well as a jaw dropping animal print maxi dress. You can also get the look with animal print shoes and handbags.
  • Lace. Oh lace. I love thee! I found two great additions to my wardrobe in lace. One is an adorable pink lace sleeveless top from banana republic. Another I found was a nude colored lace blouse from Nordstrom. Wear them with jeans or slacks for an instantly pulled together look.
  • Chanel Metallic Nail polish. Recently I have been rotating two amazingly chic Chanel fall nail colors, Graphite and Quartz. One is a beautiful champagne color and the other is a metallic grey. Both are neutral and are the perfect addition to any outfit. I don’t think I’ll have to buy polish till spring!!!!
